| I grew up as a Virginian, born in Norfolk and grew up near Ferrum, VA., original home of the Lost & Found and Doobie Shea Records. In my mid-teens I took up the guitar, with my early influences being primarily old-time and bluegrass. In my late teens and throughout my 20's I played with various rock and country & western bands in the Roanoke and Martinsville, VA areas. Don't tell my bluegrass friends, but I played drums in a country band for almost 10 years.
Since moving to Columbus 1995 , I have been involved in bluegrass as a fan, a player and a supporter. I'm a member of the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) and you can find me almost anywhere there is bluegrass activity in the Columbus area. |
